The darkness that embraces the heartThe darkness that embraces the heart As a finger pours falsehood in the night It's hurting, It's depressing As a loved one pours coals on a smiling face A light caress the heart As the Holy Spirit pours comfort warmly in the dawn It's assuring, It's calming As the True One of God pours peace on a tearful face As the Truth abide in the heart The trust in the ever-watchful eyes of God never faints It's certain, It's established That my Father has replaced the sorrow with joy and peace Out of the flood Out of the flood, came a saddening smile Out of the dawn, A Pharisee arose Out of the dark, a mind roamed with questions and uncertainties Out of the water, possessions were destroyed and a gap created. Out of the flood, came a confident laugh Out of the dawn, a forgiving heart was given Out of the dark, talents were revived and certainty arose. Out of the water, a door was closed to the room; another opened to the world Out of the darkness, a light will come. The Trinity A father so understanding A love so pure without strings and conditions An overflowing mercy greater than the waters on the surface of the earth His wisdom, so mind blowing, salted with creativity Counsel mixed with reasoning and spiced with perseverance Love cooked with discipline, wrath steamed with correction The king worthy of praise The Lord worthy of worship The Maker worthy of allegiance The virgin carrying the First fruit of God The Son living the heart of the Father The Living water flows into the Open The blind spat on the truth Death knocked, obedience bowed Nails penetrated, Calvary received the cross Blood flowed, water splashed Forgiveness stood out, love abounded For reconciliation's sake For filth to become beauty The Son, worthy of our sacrifice The Spirit given after the Son's departure The Path Finder, the Revealer of Truth The Dweller of a believing heart The Comforter, the Giver of the Priceless Fruits The Spirit cautions but the Accuser entices He encourages the good but the Evil One awaits to devour He is Ever-Loving but hates to be grieved The wise listens but the foolish rejects A priceless Friend The Holy Spirit, worthy of our obedience. Therefore, To a child of God, Priceless peace, glowing with the beauty of confidence Trust not on dust but on the Potter Life not just on earth but now and forever Faith cemented with hope, fueled by the Holy Spirit of God When the forbidden pulls and the body yields Cry to the Father in faith; help will come Lick not your vomit Our Father counted us worthy, So let's be worthy of our calling His Faithfulness We wake up in the morning With a longing for a joyous day With a prayer, we start walking through an uncertain day. Oh! Only Good News! No bad news! What a perfect day! When the evening come, We say, Praise God! Praise God! For we know Yahweh was with us We wake up in the morning With a yearning for a marvelous day With a prayer, we start walking through an uncertain day Oh! Only bad news! No good news! What a terrible day When evening comes, We say, Oh God, why? Oh God, why? Yahweh, why have you forsaken us? As swift as the deer We forget the goodness of our dear God As fast as the cheetah, We throw sweet memories of our God into the gutter When life hits us hard against the wall We murmur! We weep! We ask, not praise! He was faithful when you got that admission He was faithful when you did that wedding He is still faithful during academic storms He is still faithful during marital crisis He is still faithful during financial hardships Our God is forever faithful We must always say, Praise God! Praise God! For His faithfulness is 24/7 |
